ABOUT ME
I am Jason Bryce, a self taught musician with a very real passion for writing, composing and producing original music, from the Bay of Islands in New Zealand.
I’ve spent many years playing covers in different bands, jams and in other collaborative situations, honing my multi-instrumental skills and overall musicianship. I now focus the skills I have acquired on writing, composing, recording and producing original material.
I am often asked where I find my creative inspiration. Well at least when I speak for myself, it’s not found as some may expect; in the idolising and admiration of successful artists - I find it purely in my good friends, family and personal life experiences.
I create music by channeling an experience(s) with emotion(s) through into the lyrics of a song, which is combined with a composition of sound that supplies the means to express those lyrics. Expression is important and needs to match the experience and emotion to deliver the story in the way intended. It might sound simple, but I guess, it really is simple.
